Custom software development and open source tools overview

Available tools and software

We release select internal tools as standalone utilities for the open-source community. Each project is published with full source code, allowing systems administrators and developers to audit, compile, or run it directly.

Mundofy MailMigrator

Version 1.6.0 Available Now

Built out of our daily hosting operations and released free for everyone under the MIT License. Inspired by Armin Diehl's classic imapcopy (2001–2009), it transfers mailboxes from IMAP or POP3 servers to destination IMAP servers with native TLS 1.3 encryption, automatic server discovery, quota pre-flight checks, RFC 822 Message-ID deduplication, and full ImapCopy.cfg backward compatibility.

Protocols: Connects to IMAP or POP3 sources and transfers mail to destination IMAP servers with native TLS 1.3 and SSL encryption.

Interfaces: Windows and macOS desktop applications (GUI), alongside a headless command-line interface (CLI) for automated runs.

Heritage & Compatibility: Inspired by Armin Diehl's classic imapcopy, with 100% backward compatibility for classic ImapCopy.cfg files plus CSV/TSV import.

Concurrency: Supports concurrent multi-account migrations with 1 to 16 simultaneous workers.

Privacy by Design: 100% privacy by design with zero telemetry, zero cloud relays, and in-memory streaming.

Deduplication: Checks RFC 822 Message-ID headers against destination folders to skip duplicate messages and resume interrupted transfers.

Planned features include a native Linux binary and Docker container for the CLI. Assisted migration services are available for Google Workspace and Microsoft 365 to Nextcloud migrations.

We develop automation scripts and utilities across our daily server and migration work. When internal tools reach standalone stability, we document and publish them here under open-source licenses for everyone to use.

In addition to our open-source tools, Mundofy provides hands-on assisted migration services. We do basic IMAP migrations, Microsoft 365 migrations, and full Nextcloud solutions for you. We also build custom automation scripts and internal administration tools.
